Elevator safety gear
Elevator instantaneous Safety clamp,also known as Elevator speed protector, is a Safety Device used in Elevator system. It is mainly used to monitor the running speed of the elevator. Once the speed of the elevator exceeds the set safety range, the overspeed will occur, and the instantaneous safety clamp will start quickly to ensure the safe stop of the elevator.
Instantaneous safety tongs are usually composed of speed sensors and emergency braking devices. The speed sensor is installed in the elevator shaft or machine room to monitor the speed of the elevator. When the elevator speed exceeds the preset safety range, the sensor will send a signal to the emergency braking device to enable it to start quickly.
The emergency braking device generally adopts the form of electromagnetic braking or friction braking, and slows down the running speed of the elevator and finally stops by applying braking force. In this way, the instantaneous safety tongs can respond quickly when the elevator overspeeds to prevent dangerous situations such as elevator accidents or landslides.
